A winding road through the Appalachian mountains

There are stories hiding all around us.

There are stories hiding all around us—in the places we pass every day, the things our grandparents used, and the traditions handed down from one generation to another. Old Paths goes looking for those stories.

About Old Paths

Keeping Rural America's Stories Alive.

What stories are hiding in the places we pass every day?

What traditions are still alive in small towns and rural communities?

At 'Old Paths', we love a good story. Through our Facebook videos, media interviews and annual publication, we explore the people, places and traditions that have shaped America—and tell the stories you may have never heard before.
